Book Sale Policies - Please read All of the sales workers are volunteers who contribute their time to the library and the community. Proceeds from these sales are used to buy new books and to support the Library's programs. We reserve the right to expel anyone who hoards, scoop tables, shoves, pushes, or exhibits any other boorish behavior that brings us close to tears. 1. You must be present to save a place in line prior to the sale. No blankets, jackets, backpacks, or place markers of any kind are to be left on the floor.
2. You are allowed three boxes (or one equivalent tub) at a time. Once these are filled, they must be paid for and removed from the library. You can then take three more empty boxes from the supply, if any are available.
4. Blankets or other textiles create tripping hazards and their use to cover boxes of books is prohibited. 5. Holding Area: On Thursday night only, you may use the holding area for up to three boxes of books. This is at your own risk and is for books that have not yet been paid for. Books left here at the end of the evening will be returned to the tables. 6. A limited number of volunteers will be available near the holding area to take checks (only) from you and issue a receipt so may remove your books without going through checkout. 7. Electronic Devices: The Holding Area is the only place where electronic devices may be used. You may not invade the Children's Library or other parts of the Library to look up book values. 8. You may not hoard books or scoop books from the tables to decide whether you want to buy them. This is unfair to other patrons. Anyone doing this will be expelled.
